Sunday, day of rest.. Hardly!

Today has been a very busy but productive day. Mike worked out in the garage all day building shelves. He decided before we start working on the Mustang again, we needed some good shelves to put parts on. We were running out of space. I worked in the kitchen all day. Our tomatoes are really starting to come in... quicker than we can eat them. So I found a recipe for Salsa and decided I would can some. So I went out and bought some stuff for canning. I have never canned anything in my life. I split the recipe in half which made about 3 1/2 pint jars. I figured I didn't need 12 cans worth. I also did a lot less jalapenos because I am a wimp. I think it turned out good.

My canner container thingy... which has a rack inside. It worked well. At least I think. I guess I will see tomorrow if the jars really sealed.

The three jars I canned. There is another half can of salsa but we just put it in the fridge so we can eat it now.

We also decided it was time to eat a spaghetti squash. I have never eaten spaghetti squash in my life... but Mike has. So I got that done. I cooked the squash and then scooped out the inside and mixed it with Spaghetti sauce and threw it back in the oven for 20 minutes. It is delicious!

I also made some Zucchini bread which is in the oven now. I followed the same recipe I used last time except I tried some different spices. Hopefully this bread will have more flavor.

That is about it for my Sunday. I am excited to be able to sit and relax for the rest of the night. I am exhausted!

Oh! I have to blog about my new profession. I am a barber! I cut Mike's hair on Friday night. We had bought a set of clippers so I decided to try it out. I think it turned out good. It was also rather fun. I cant wait to do it again next month!
