Yesterday was the Ogden Marathon. Of course Mike had to run it so we spent Friday night in Ogden and half of Saturday. Mike didn't qualify for Boston on this marathon, but he beat his time last year by 21 minutes. His time was 3:22:30. He has some setbacks, but he pulled thru it all and still got a PR on that course. I am proud of him.

As you may recall... this was the Marathon Mike proposed to me at last year. So this Marathon will always be special for us.
Today we did a few things around the house. Mike bought all the needed stuff to get our swamp cooler running. It was starting to get hot in our house so it is nice to have the option of cold air again. We also decided to buy some paving stones. There is a section in our backyard that was just dirt with a couple of stepping stones. It has always been an eye sore and bothered us both so we finally took care of it.
Before

Partway done laying bricks (this was where we ran back to Home Depot because we didn't buy enough stones the first time)

This is when it was all done. It looks tons better in that spot!

It was a good weekend. I like it when we can get out and get stuff done. Mike and I are both rather sore though. Oh and an update on the garden... one of the tomato plants and the spaghetti squash plant are dying. I tried not watering them for a few days... then tried watering them more.... but they are still not looking so good. The other two tomato plants look great. The radishes are springing up as well. I didn't expect those to sprout so soon. Nothing else has sprouted yet so we will see!
