Company!!

Yesterday was a fun day. In the morning Mike and I (although Mainly Mike) refinished a sofa table. His boss had given him this sofa table for free but it didnt match anything we have. So we decided to refinish it.
This is what the table started out looking like.

Then we started the long process of sanding it down. The next step was applying the finish.
Here is the backside of the finished product. It now matches our decore better. I told Mike we are never refinishing another peice of furniture again. Next time we will just buy it in the shade we want. It was too much work for me...although once again, Mike did do most of the work. I think it turned out rather nice.
while I was taking pictures if the table... I got sidetracked and had to take a picture of the side walk chalk drawing Mike's Neice did for me. She loves me :-)

Last night my parents, Shelley and her boys came and spent the night on their way back home. It was fun having company over. My guest bedroom does not get used very often.
Today we just hung around at home most the day. Mike got up at 5 AM and ran 21 miles this morning so he was a bit worn out. Then this evening we went out to dinner with Mike's friend Nate and his wife Heidi. It was fun. We dont get to go out with them too often but we have a blast when we do. It was lots of fun.
