Playing with the Pond

Most of my time has been spent with car stuff, but I did manage to get out and play with the pond this weekend. I decided to redo the waterfall. I had a barrel thing but decided I wanted to go more natural with the waterfall. Plus I noticed the birds like being around the pond and thought it would be fun for them if there was a shallow little pool at the top that they could play in. So far it is a success. the birds love it!

I also went and got some fish today and stuck them in. They are little feeder fish so they are tiny little guys that only cost me like 15 cents a piece. I figure its safer to start with feeder fish that way I wont be out tons of money if something is off and they don't make it. So far they seem pretty happy in their new home. I got ten of them so I guess we will see how many are still alive by morning.

I also spread wild flower seeds on the dirt mounds on either side of the pond. I am excited for them to grow. It's going to be so pretty with wild flowers growing all around it. I can't wait!
